I had the same tires, initially they were grippy, but halfway through their service life they completely hardened. Plainly said: they're bad tires. I would break loose in 3rd gear on my ES 100s, and after I got my new wheels that included Potenzas with a smaller contact patch - it held the majority of 2nd gear (something the ES 100s would never do). Before you spend the money on aggressive ET Streets, I'd give a better tire a try. The Falkens would probably be a good bet, and much safer in the rain.
